Christian “Kirko” Kirksey has made a name for himself in Cleveland over the past four years as a linebacker for the Cleveland Browns. His work has made him a staple to not only the team, but to the city. Although he is a professional athlete, he is also a multifaceted man of many talents. In an effort to better engage with his fans and the community as well as showcase his interests outside of football, he combined his passion for community with his advocacy for authenticity in the creation of his non-profit organization Kirkoland Inc.
Kirkoland encourages everyone to be themselves, be proud, and to be their own rockstar! What better way to show the world exactly who you are than through fashion? Through the realization of how powerful clothes can be in self-expression, we were more than happy to bring “Live Out Loud: A Fashion Benefit” to life. With only weeks to pull it off, we aided our client in finding a venue, securing sponsorship, working with retailers, show production, event details and decor. Because “Live Out Loud” was a fundraising event rooted in giving back to the Cleveland community, we also made sure to work with seven amazing local brands, a host of local models, local stylists, local makeup artists and more.
Hundreds gathered at the Tenk Westbank in Cleveland’s Warehouse District to celebrate fashion, fun, and fundraising. Upon arrival, guests were welcomed by a row of Porsches (talk about living out loud) lining the street thanks to our sponsor, Porsche of Beachwood. As guests entered, we aimed to keep the atmosphere fresh and spring-like through the use of greenery and hedge.
As guests anticipated the start of the show, photos were taken, drinks were flowing and raffles were bid on. Guest once again enjoyed photobooth fun thanks to the ever-popular Socialite Booth. VIP guests enjoyed an open bar and lounge courtesy of Avion Tequila, Martell Cognac, and Absolut Vodka while our other guests enjoyed drinks from our custom built hedge bar. Everyone took their shot at winning prizes by entering into our silent raffle where participants had a chance to win gift cards, a signed jersey, Avion 44, a weekend with Porsche, and so much more.
Thanks to the help of Rock The House, we were able to transform the main room of the Tenk into an upscale set with a chic and modern twist. Our “Y” shaped runway gave attendees the opportunity to see the participating brands from every angle. Hosted by Christian himself as well as the beautiful Karen Civil, guests were in for a dope event. Our models dazzled the crowd in looks from 6th Street Vintage, Tailored Epiphany, Brigade, Scout and Molly, Posh Collection, Next and Xhibition. Even fellow NFL players Josh Gordon, Jarvis Landry, Corey Coleman, Ricardo Louis, Tyrod Taylor, BJ Bello, Micah Hyde, and Joe Haden each took their shot at ripping the runway.
We were grateful to have been apart of putting on an amazing event for an even more amazing cause. Kirko truly believes in Cleveland, and “Live Out Loud” is just one way he hoped to show the city how much. By investing in our youth, Kirko is investing in the future of this community, and that’s what Kirkoland is all about.
