The 3rd annual DJ Steph Floss Weekend was an absolute success! Kicking off Thursday, October 19, 2017 with a Community Giveback Day awarding students for their academic achievements, Steph, Z107.9 and the entire Elmnt 13 team headed to Clark Elementary to treat some deserving students to dancing, fun, and a pizza party. In addition, students received tons of cool giveaways from Villa to leave and boast with their fellow classmates about. But we didn’t just stop there! We followed up with a trip to New Tech East High School to enjoy rap and dance battles, giveaways and surprise performances by Big Bank Holly, Chelsea Pastel, and Bellaire Rossef. Students were extremely excited about being acknowledged for their increase in graduation rate and receiving giveaways such as Beats by Dre headphones and Villa gift cards.
After awarding the students earlier in the day it was only right that we connected with the adults and one of the foundation’s principles pertaining to health awareness later that evening. Thursday night incorporated fun and fitness with “My Vice Is Versa” versaclimbing workout class at Rise Nation.
Friday’s festivities commenced with “Issa Pizza Party…with Games” at Saucy Brew Works where people enjoyed great music, pizza, and nostalgic games. The night ended with the “Welcome to Cleveland” party at the House of Blues.
Early Saturday morning, runners geared up to “Run With The Winners” in the annual 5k. After the run, everyone got some rest before heading to see the Cleveland Cavaliers take on Orlando Magic. And of course, it was only right to have a party after the game too! Attendees proceeded to Medusa Restaurant & Lounge where Teyana Taylor made a special host appearance and DJ Drama held down the music.
As the weekend slowly came to an end, weekend goers came out Sunday early afternoon for “Browns & Brunch” at Skylight Penthouse to converse over good food and catch the Browns against the Titans. Later that night, the weekend concluded with a fun-filled night at Rumor Bar and Lounge featuring DJ Infamous also known as “The Finale.” It’s safe to say the third annual DJSFW was another successful weekend for the books that we had the opportunity to coordinate and manage!
